Do I actually get an MP3 file?
You get YouTube's native audio stream, which is normally M4A (AAC) or WebM (Opus). Both play in every modern player, phone and car stereo. Converting those to MP3 would mean a second lossy encode that makes the file bigger and the sound slightly worse, so the tool gives you the better original by default.
Can I really get 320 kbps from YouTube?
Not honestly. YouTube stores audio at roughly 128 kbps AAC or 160 kbps Opus. Any site advertising a "320 kbps MP3" is upsampling a 128 kbps source - the file is larger, the audio is not better. The bitrates shown here are the real ones.
Which bitrate should I pick?
The highest one listed, unless you are short on space. For most videos that is the ~130 kbps M4A or the ~129 kbps Opus stream. The 49–61 kbps options are useful for spoken-word content like podcasts, where the file is a fraction of the size and speech still sounds fine.
Is the audio quality the same as the video?
Yes. The audio stream is independent of the video resolution, so extracting audio from a 360p video gives you exactly the same track as extracting it from the 4K version.
Can I convert a whole playlist at once?
Not yet - one video per request. Playlist support is not available in this version.
Can I use downloaded music in my own videos?
Almost certainly not without a licence. Commercial music on YouTube is covered by copyright and Content ID will flag it. Extract audio for personal listening, or for material you own or that is explicitly licensed for reuse.
